Muz youth foundhanging from tree

Patna: The body of a 21-year-old YouTuber, Gaurav, was found hanging from a tree in Chhajan village under Kurhani block in Muzaffarpur district on Tuesday morning.
Locals spotted the body in an orchard while on their way to work and informed the police and Gaurav’s mother. Upon receiving the information, the police took possession of the body and sent it to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital in Muzaffarpur for a postmortem.
SHO of Turki police station, Kumar Pramod Singh, said the body was found hanging from a tree with a noose made of a towel.“Prima facie, it appears to be a case of murder. The FSL team has been called. Investigation is being done and the police are gathering evidence to identify the miscreants and the motive behind the murder,” he added.
The deceased’s mother, Indal Devi, informed the police that Gaurav received a call from an unknown number around 11pm on Monday, after which he left the house. “When he did not return, I searched for him but in vain,” she said, adding some villagers probably killed her son over a land dispute.
The forensic team collected blood samples and other items, including Gaurav’s cellphone and towel, from the spot.
The SHO said the police are investigating the case from all angles and will take further action once they receive a written complaint from the deceased’s family.
