Patna: A 20-year-old youth was shot dead over a land dispute by unknown assailants near Narayanpur field in the Naubatpur police station area of Patna district on Thursday.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Ayush Kumar, a resident of Samanpura village in Naubatpur. The criminals fled the scene after committing the crime. Upon hearing the gunfire, locals rushed to the spot and took Ayush to the hospital for treatment.However, he was declared dead by the doctors.
SHO of Naubatpur police station, Rajnish Kumar, said, “The incident is believed to have been carried out over a land dispute. Initial investigations revealed the names of two individuals from the same village,” he added.
