Youth: Chhattisgarh voter found dead on railway tracks | Bhubaneswar News

Rourkela: A 21-year-old youth from Bisra block, who worked as a labourer in Chennai, lost his life while returning to his village to vote. He was found dead on the railway track near Vijayawada. His body reached his village on Friday where he was buried.
Rohit Minz (21) of Barkani village under Bondamunda panchayat boarded a train in Chennai for Rourkela on May 14 along with four friends.
Upon arriving in Rourkela, his friends told his parents that Rohit had alighted at Rayagada railway station to lodge a complaint with the GRP after his purse and cellphone were stolen. When the family could not contact Rohit, his father went to Rayagada along with some family members and lodged a missing complaint with Rayagada GRP.
On May 20 night, the GRP called up Rohit’s father and told a body was found in Temburu station near Vijayawada, and asked him to identify the body. Rohit’s father and some others brought it back with the help of an NGO.
