Hyderabad: A youngster was brutally murdered by unidentified persons at Allapur near Borabanda on Monday night. The suspects attacked the deceased, Y Bhanu Prakash, 25, with sharp weapons and a boulder, killing him on the spot, police said. Previous enmity is suspected to be the motive behind the murder, they added.
Police said Prakash, a resident of Moti Nagar, left home on Monday around 7.30 pm, informing his mother that he was going to meet a friend. He also took 500 from her while leaving.
Later, around 2am Tuesday, police found his body and contacted his family using his bike registration number. Police said that Prakash was having previous disputes with one Rakesh and his friends over petty matters.
To settle them, they called Prakash and his friend Sridhar for a meeting. There, Rakesh and his friends attacked Prakash and Sridhar. Prakash died on the spot, while Sridhar escaped with injuries, a police officer said. A murder case was registered, and a hunt is on to nab the suspects, he added.
