Yoga Sessions: Yoga sessions across state, CM to attend Kalinga Stadium event |
Bhubaneswar: The state govt has made extensive preparations to celebrate the 10th International Day of Yoga (IDY). A series of yoga sessions will be organised at different locations with the active involvement of MPs, MLAs and ministers.
Chief minister Mohan Majhi will grace the state-level yoga day event at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar. The event is expected to draw thousands of participants, including govt officials, students, and yoga enthusiasts.Special arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and successful event, with adequate security, medical facilities and logistic support. At the iconic Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Surya Namaskar session will be the highlight of the celebrations.
The state govt has urged people to take part in the IDY events in large numbers.
The participation of politicians and public figures is expected to encourage widespread community engagement for celebrating the International Day of Yoga at municipality, NAC and block levels.
Deputy chief ministers K V Singh Deo and Pravati Parida will attend yoga day events at Kasturba School in Nayapalli and Konark Sun temple premises respectively. Similarly, all BJP MPs, and MLAs will attend Yoga Day events in district level events to be organised across the state.
