Woman killed over dowry by in-laws in Aurangabad | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: A 22-year-old married woman, Rinki Devi, died under suspicious circumstances at her home in Bahuara village under the Mufassil police station area of Aurangabad district on Thursday. Her father alleged that she was killed by her in-laws over a dowry demand.
Rinki’s father, Musafir Ram, filed a complaint at the police station, stating that his daughter was married to Amit Ram two years ago. Despite meeting all the dowry demands, Rinki was subjected to physical and mental torture by her in-laws for not fulfilling their additional demand of Rs 5 lakh cash.
Mufassil SHO, Ashok Kumar, said, “An FIR has been filed against three persons, including the husband. Raids are being carried out to nab the absconding accused.”
