Kendrapada: A 52-year-old woman died after being hit in the head with a wooden plank during a clash between two groups at Sangrampur village under Rajkanika police station in Kendrapada district on Wednesday . The incident left eight people injured. Police suspect a property dispute led to the clash. The deceased was identified as Sushil Nayak.
“We detained three persons in this case.The others involved in the clash fled the village and are trying to nab them. Investigation is on and the cause of the hostility is being looked into,” IIC (Rajkanika) Dilip Dhal said. The injured persons were taken to the district headquarter hospital at Kendrapada from where two were later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. TNN
