Hyderabad: The XII additional district and sessions judge at LB Nagar, P Pradeep Naik, on Tuesday sentenced a woman to life imprisonment and fined her 10,000 for killing her two-month-old nephew in June 2021 at Abdullapurmet.
Oruganti Swetha abducted the sleeping child from his mother, took him to the terrace, throttled him to death and then dumped him in a water storage tank.She killed the child to take revenge from her sister-in-law, who made fun of her over her miscarriage.
Police said Swetha, 24, and her sister-in-law conceived around the same time. But she had a miscarriage. Since then, her sister-in-law made fun of Swetha.TNN
