Woman found dead with her throat slit in Patna | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: A 24-year-old woman was found dead with her throat slit at her rented accommodation in Masaurhi sub-division of Patna district in the early hours of Sunday.
A murder case was lodged by deceased Soni Kumari’s husband against his father and brother. Police have taken Soni’s father-in-law Shivji Chaudhary into custody and are interrogating him.
Masaurhi sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) II, Kanhaiya Singh said Soni’s husband Sandeep, who works as a driver, had gone out to Pahari area on Saturday night.“When Sandeep returned home around 2am, he found his wife lying in a pool of blood while their two kids — aged four and three years — were sleeping on the bed beside the body,” he said.
The police have started scanning the CCTV footage of nearby areas.
According to police, Sandeep had a quarrel with his father and brother a couple of days back when both had threatened to kill his wife. “We have taken the father-in-law into custody for questioning,” the SDPO said.
