Navi Mumbai: Less than a day after checking into a lodge in Shirawane, Nerul, with her alleged boyfriend, a 29-year-old woman from Ahilyanagar was found dead in her room on Thursday. She is suspected to have died of an “overdose of sex pills” and heavy alcohol consumption.
Police said there was no injury mark on the body. The Kalina forensic science lab has been asked to file a report on the cause of death.
Brahmanand Naikwadi, senior inspector, Nerul police, said CCTV footage showed the suspected boyfriend left around 5am. Police went to the Kalamboli residence mentioned on his Aadhaar card, but found that he had vacated it three months ago.
