Woman found dead at home in Dhenkanal
Bhubaneswar: Body of a 45-year-old woman was found in a pool of blood at her house in Analabareni village in Dhenkanal district late Tuesday night.
Chanchala was rushed to the local community health centre, where doctors declared her brought dead. On Wednesday morning, Chanchala’s brother lodged a complaint at Tumusingha police station alleging she was murdered. Following the complaint, police recovered the body from the CHC and started an investigation.
Deceased Chanchala Naik’s husband, Sura Naik, died two years ago. After that, Chanchala was staying with her son, Lipu Naik (28), and his family. However, a year ago, Lipu’s wife died and Chanchala was staying with her two grandsons. Lipu is being interrogated by police.
Kamakhyanagar SDPO Gyana Mishra told TOI, “There were injuries on her forehead. We are currently interrogating Chanchala’ son. We are looking at all angles. Further probe is on.”
