Will cut water supply if wastage found, TMC warns hsg societies | Mumbai News – The Times of India

Water supply would be disconnected if wastage, such as overflowing tanks or unattended leaks, is detected, Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) warned residential housing societies on Tuesday.
“As part of the directive, societies have been instructed to regularly inspect internal pipelines and tanks, promptly repair leaks, and prevent overhead tank overflow. If complaints are received and wastage is found, water connection of the building or society concerned will be disconnected. Potable water should not be used for non-essential purposes such as swimming pools,” said a TMC official, adding that water levels in both reservoirs and local borewells have dropped due to the extreme heat. — Manoj Badgeri
