Rourkela: A farmer was trampled to death by a wild tusker at Bonai forest division in Sundargarh district on Sunday. The incident led to a protest by locals who gheraoed the office and residence of the divisional forest officer (DFO) of Bonai forest division and even manhandled a para staff member of the division. Later, the DFO, assured the protesters that regular tracking of elephants would be done. tnn
