Wife, ex-fiance arrested for killing tyre shop staffer in Bengaluru | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: In the murder case of a 26-year-old tyre shop employee, Kengeri police have arrested his 22-year-old wife and her lover. The arrested are Umme Salma, 22, a resident of Padarayanapura, and her lover Dadapeer alias Daddu, 25, a resident of Bakshi Garden on Cottonpet Main Road. The deceased was Sameer Asad Ul.
Sameer’s body was found on a road adjacent to Turahalli forest on Monday morning. He had sustained multiple injuries, including a head injury. Citing primary investigation, police said Sameer and Salma were married for the last one and a half years, and had a six-month-old daughter.
Salma is a homemaker, while Dadapeer is a two-wheeler mechanic, running a workshop near Hale Guddadahalli on Mysuru Road. Salma and Dadapeer got engaged two and a half years ago, and they were in regular contact. One of her close relatives got the marriage cancelled by arguing that Dadapeer was in bad company. Consequently, Salma’s parents got her married to Sameer. However, Salma continued her friendship with Dadapeer.
Sameer was an alcoholic and often fought with Salma. A few months after the marriage, Sameer discovered that Salma was in love with Dadapeer and fought with her over the issue.
Two months ago, Salma told Dadapeer that she was not able to tolerate Sameer and hatched a plan to kill him. Accordingly, she went to Chintamani on Sunday. Dadapeer picked Sameer up from JC Road after his work. They consumed alcohol in a bar, and Dadapeer took Sameer near Turahalli forest. They purchased more liquor and got drunk. As per the plan, Dadapeer attacked Sameer with a two-wheeler’s shock absorber and killed him.
The police picked up Dadapeer on Monday morning and Salma in the evening. Both confessed to the crime. Further investigation is in progress.
