Water supply hit in Bandra West due to pipe leak | Mumbai News – The Times of India

Mumbai: A pipeline leak at Lucky Hotel Junction in Bandra (W) disrupted water supply in parts of H-West ward on Tuesday.
Repairs on the 750mm diameter Pali Hill reservoir inlet began on Monday afternoon, but was delayed due to objections from traffic police. In a post on X, BMC said, “…Evening water supply to Khar Danda, Dandapada, Gazdarbandh, Chuim Village, Dr Ambedkar Road, Pali Village, and parts of Khar is delayed.” On Tuesday, at 4am, work was halted after no leakage was found in the excavation pit. Civic officials said further excavation will resume once the exact leakage location is identified using the sounding method.
Taps ran dry at Ambedkar Road and Pali Village, while other areas received water at low pressure. tnn
