Watch: Passenger injured after man pelts stone at moving train in Bihar

PATNA: An concerning incident of stone pelting has been reported on Bhagalpur-Jaynagar Express train in Bihar while the train was in motion.
A traveler on the train was injured during the attack. The incident was highlighted by a user on the social media platform X, who shared both images and videos related to the event.

Among the shared content, one image appears to show the suspected assailant in the act of hurling stones at the moving train.
Another photo depicts the aftermath, revealing a passenger with apparent injuries, including a bleeding nose, caused by the stone-pelting incident.
The post included the caption, “Bhagalpur-Jaynagar Intercity Express was pelted with stones between Darbhanga and Kakarghati. @spjdivn sir took immediate action and arrested the stone pelter. The railway administration is requested to take strict action against the culprit to prevent such incidents in the future.”
In response to the incident, the Railways Ministry stated that they have identified the accused and filed a case against him under various sections.
“Taking immediate action on the incident of stone pelting by anti-social elements on train number 15553 Bhagalpur-Jaynagar Express, the railway has identified the accused and registered a case under various sections. Everyone is requested to immediately inform the Railways about such anti-social elements,” the Railways Ministry tweeted.
One user wrote,” Arrest him at the earliest and give a hard punishment.”
Another user wrote,” I personally think this type of people are responsible for rail accidents these days also.”
“From the security point of view, along with the Railway Administration and RPF, citizens too will have to remain alert towards anti-social elements and play a joint role, only then they can be controlled.” another user commented.
