HYDERABAD: Police during the investigation of Bhatula Prabhakar, the thief who opened fire against a head constable Venkatram Reddy in Prism pub at Gachibowli, found that was sharing a room with a friend, who is an Information Technology employee at a prominent MNC. To the surprise of police, in the same room police recovered 3rd country made weapon.

On Saturday when he was caught at the Prism, police recovered two country made weapons which was in his possession.Later, when police went to his room and made searches, they found the 3rd weapon another weapon.
The accused Prabhakar bought the three weapons with the help of his friend from Bihar. “The accused claimed the weapons were bought by him for taking revenge against a prisoner who stayed with him when he was in Vizag central prison. The co-prisoner of Prabhakar allegedly troubled him during his stay in jail. This made him to conspire to take revenge,” sources associated with investigation told TOl. However, police are still verifying the veracity of his statement.
The accused was found using phones whose SIM cards were registered in the name of two women. ” The aim of the accused is to lead a lavish life for that he is committing burglaries, mainly by targeting educational institutes that too engineering colleges in particular,” police said.
It was while probing few burglaries in Moinabad based engineering colleges, police got lead that accused, was at Prism pub. When a team of three policemen on Saturday night went to the spot and nabbed him, Prabhakar to escape opened fire and a bullet hit Venkatram Reddy’s foot.
