Bhubaneswar: Residents living in 36 villages in Bhubaneswar, Khurda and Jatni are yet to be brought under the piped drinking water supply system, panchayati raj and drinking water minister Ravi Narayan Naik said in the assembly recently.
Naik was responding to a query raised by MLA Bibhuti Bhusan Balabantaray. Naik said these 36 uncovered villages are currently being supplied with drinking water with help of 400 borewells.
“The two mega water supply projects to cover these 36 villages under the piped drinking water supply system are being expedited. The agencies executing these two mega projects are being directed to complete the projects on time,” Naik said. TNN
