Bhubaneswar: In a major anti-corruption operation, vigilance officials uncovered substantial assets during searches on properties linked to Debasis Sahoo, assistant project manager of Odisha Water Supply & Sewerage Board (OWSSB), Bhubaneswar.
The raids revealed an extensive property portfolio, including three multi-storied buildings and two commercial shops in Jatni. Among the discovered assets was a 6,300 sq ft double-storied building on College Road and two buildings on Sardar Patel Marg, including a triple-storied structure that is under construction.
Officials also found two high-value plots — a 5,000 sq ft land parcel at Sarakantana in Bhubaneswar, and another measuring 0.115 decimals in Jatni. Vigilance technical wing is currently assessing the value of these properties.
The searches yielded gold ornaments weighing around 230 grams, cash amounting to Rs 1.55 lakh, bank deposits exceeding Rs 20.56 lakh, and three two-wheelers. Additional deposits are still being probed.
