Victory of CPI-ML on 2 LS seats in Bihar to boost Left movement in country | – Times of India

Patna: The CPI-ML functionaries on Saturday expressed satisfaction over its ‘success’ in the just-concluded Lok Sabha elections in the state, claiming the party’s victory on two seats would become a vehicle for the new rise of the Left in the Hindi heartland.
The two-day central committee meeting, which kickstarted on Saturday, was attended by the party’s general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, Karakat MP Rajaram Singh, state secretary Kunal, MLC Shashi Yadav and Swadesh Bhattacharya, senior party leader, among others.
“The victory of CPI-ML on two seats in Bihar will become the vehicle for the new rise of the Left in the Hindi belt. CPI-ML’s victory in Sikar (Rajasthan) should also be seen in this context,” the leaders said at the meeting. They added that their victory would give ‘new strength’ to the Left movement in the country.
Stating that the 2024 mandate was against the BJP, the leaders said that the NDA somehow managed to form its government at the Centre. “BJP’s move to free democracy from opposition has failed; instead, the INDIA bloc has emerged as a powerful opposition force,” they said, voicing concern over the lack of any Muslim face in the Narendra Modi 3.0 government. They added that the BJP won at least 30 seats by a narrow margin.
