Veer Bal Diwas observed at Chhapra college | Patna News – Times of India

Chhapra: Addressing the NSS (National Service Scheme) volunteers on the occasion of ‘Veer Bal Diwas‘ at Ram Jaipal College premises at Chhapra, Prof Rakesh Kumar, program officer of the NSS unit of this college, said the day is celebrated to mark the sacrifice of two sons of the 10th Guru of the Sikh Panth, Guru Govind Singh.
Prof Rakesh further reminded the volunteers that on this day, sons Jorawar Singh (9) and Fateh Singh (6) chose to be buried alive for the protection of humanity, and this day is celebrated to honour the bravery of the two Sikh boys.
Principal of the college, Prof Irfan Ali said that such functions help students to learn about the history of the country, which helps them to enrich their knowledge. He also expressed gratitude to the vice chancellor of J P University, Prof Parmendra Kumar Bajpai, for providing this opportunity to the college.
