UTP: Undertrial Prisoner Dies During Treatment | Bhubaneswar News
Rourkela: An undertrial prisoner of Bonai special jail in Sundargarh district, who was suffering from chronic kidney disease (CKD), died at Vimsar, Burla during treatment on Saturday.
Sources said Debra Munda (34) of Koida had been arrested for murder and sent to Sundargarh jail during 2019. Debra was shifted to Bonai special jail in 2022. He was a CKD patient and had to be taken to Vimsar every month for dialysis.On May 28, Munda was admitted to Vimsar as his health deteriorated during dialysis.
On Saturday afternoon, after his dialysis, Debra was brought to the ward where he died during treatment. On Sunday, post-mortem was conducted and his body was handed over to his family.TNN
