US-based technology service company Korcomptenz to open new hubs in Chennai, Hyderabad

Chennai: US-based technology service companyKorcomptenzhas decided to open new office facilities in Chennai and Hyderabad with the former focusing on artificial intelligence-related research and development (R&D) for its global clients.The facility will be running AI models with high-performance servers and network infrastructure.Korcomptenz, which has operations in Chennai since 2006, currently has 250-odd employees delivering global IT projects remotely and now plans to expand operations in India with a total investment of Rs 20 crore and double its headcount. It plans to hire talent in machine learning, data science related roles.Prakash Anthony, chief executive officer, said the company has been focused on its efforts to set up anAI hub in Indiato focus on R&D and developing new solutions or proof of concepts. He said with this effort the company’s annualised run rate is expected to reach $100 million in two years from $50 million at present.Clara D’Silva, President, Korcomptenz said, “Our investment is aimed at building state-of-the-art infrastructure, AI labs, and a world-class team of over 300 professionals in the next 18 months. This hub will strengthen our global delivery model, accelerates AI-driven innovation, and empowers us to co-create transformative solutions with clients and partners worldwide,”Korcomptenz caters to mid-market to large enterprises in areas such as manufacturing, retail, banking, financial services and healthcare.It has collaboration with enterprise partners like Microsoft, SAP, Salesforce.
