UP lifts nat’l junior boys handball title

Keonjhar: Uttar Pradesh emerged victorious in a nail-biting final against Rajasthan, winning 31-30 to clinch the 39th National Junior Boys Handball Championship title in Keonjhar on Saturday. Earlier, UP beat hosts Odisha 36-31 in one semi-final, while Rajasthan defeated Haryana 27-23 in the other. Odisha and Haryana shared the third place.
The week-long tournament, which began on April 8, concluded with a grand ceremony led by state handball association president Biplab Chaudhary. Keonjhar SP Nitin Kusalkar and DFO Dhanraj H D were among those present.
The matches were officiated by Indian Handball Association referees. The event, held at Keonjhar handball ground, featured top junior teams from across India.
