PRAYAGRAJ: In view of the heavy crowd of devotees and traffic restrictions until the last bathing date of Mahakumbh-2025, i.e., Mahashivratri (February 26), authorities of UP Secondary Education Board, commonly known as UP Board, have amended the examination programme of High School and Intermediate scheduled for February 24 in district Prayagraj.
The exam that was to be held on February 24, for both class 10 and 12, will now be held on March 9. On February 24, the exam for class 10 was to be held for Elementary Hindi (8:30-11:45 am) and Healthcare (2-5:15 pm). The same will now be held on March 9, with the timing remaining unchanged.
Likewise, for class 12, the exam for Military Science (morning shift) and Hindi/General Hindi (second shift) will also now be held on March 9, with the shifts remaining the same.
“It is noteworthy that the examination programme of High School and Intermediate of February 24 has been revised only for district Prayagraj. In the remaining districts, the High School and Intermediate examinations will be conducted as per the previously scheduled programme,” said Secretary UP Board, Bhagwati Singh.
He added that in the recently held meeting with the Chief Secretary, Manoj Kumar Singh, the district magistrate of Ayodhya and Varanasi, the two districts which are also witnessing heavy rush because of Maha Kumbh, have assured that they prepared separate routes for the students that they can use while appearing in the exams for their respective classes on February 24. “Since the DMs of these two districts have assured that they would do the needful for ensuring that the students reach the exam centre well before time, they have also been instructed to disseminate the information to the masses so that the students are well aware of the options they have in reaching the exam centre,” said Singh.
