UN’S Sustainable Development Goals: 64 green projects at ITI exhibition | Bhubaneswar News
Berhampur: As many as 64 projects representing UN’s Sustainable Development Goals were developed by students at Industrial Training Institute and put up for display at a two-daylong exhibition, which concluded on Tuesday at the government-run institute.
The projects, developed in collaboration with the Indo German Initiative for Technical Education, included solar vehicles, green hydrogen generator, solar vehicles, irrigation system, miniature elephants made from plastic bottle scraps and green wall with plants, among others.
“In 2015, UN adopted the SDGs as a global roadmap to achieve a balanced and sustainable future for all by 2030 and in a significant stride towards achieving this, ITI here not only implemented but was also tried to raise awareness among people and the students regarding those goals,” ITI principle Rajat Kumar Panigrahy said.
Over 300 students developed the projects under the guidance of the principal.
