Union MSME to Launch Technology Centre in Gaya to Combat Migration | Patna News – Times of India


Gaya: In a bid to stop migration of people from the state, the Union micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) department is going to start construction work for a technology centre at Gaya.
The main centre will be established at Gaya, while extension centres have also been approved at Nalanda, Rohtas, Purnia and Darbhanga and Saran.
Union MSME minister Jitan Ram Manjhi announced on Saturday that the main technology centre will be immediately shifted to Gaya from West Bengal, due to non-availability of land there.
Union MSME additional development commissioner RK Rai has sent a letter to Bihar chief secretary and the MSME joint director, requesting the state govt to provide about 20 acres land in Gaya.
HAM-S national spokesperson Nandlal Manjhi in a press release issued on Saturday said the Union minister has approved Rs 125 crore for the centre at Gaya. These centres will provide opportunities to acquire technical skills to the youths for self-employment.
