Balasore: Police seized 228 grams of brown sugar worth around Rs 22 lakh and arrested two persons from Arad Bazaar under Sahadevkhunta policestation limits in Balasore on Friday. The accused, Sk Sakir (25) and Meena Bibi (50), are locals. SP (Balasore), Raj Prasad, said that acting on a tip-off, a police team raided a house in Arad Bazaar, where brown sugar was allegedly being sold.During the search, police seized the contraband hidden in a transparent zipped polythene bag and Rs 18,000 in cash from Meena.
