Two bikers killed by falling tree | Patna News – Times of India


Biharsharif: Two motorcycle riders died on the spot after a tree fell on them due to strong wind near Kaghzi mohalla’s Paila Pokhar locality under Biharsharif town police station area on Friday morning.
The deceased youths were identified as Shahnawaz and Sajadul of Imadpur locality under the same police station area.
To protest the deaths, irate residents blocked national highway-31 for around an hour, accusing the district administration of negligence of public safety.
They demanded compensation and govt jobs for the next of kin of the deceased persons.
The movement of vehicular traffic was restored after officials from Nalanda district and police administration assured the protestors of sympathetically considering their demands.
A police officer from Biharsharif town police station said the issue was peacefully resolved and the bodies were sent to Biharsharif Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
