Jumbo injures 1, damages 5 houses

Rourkela: A tusker entered three villages under Kuliposh forest range in Sundargarh district on Saturday and damaged five houses as well as attacked and injured a 60-year-old man.
First, it entered Gaudunipada and damaged one house. Subsequently, it entered Panposhi village where it attacked and injured Vijay Munda, who was shifted to Rourkela Govt Hospital.Later, it damaged four houses in Ruguda village.
On Sunday morning, the tusker returned to Bonai forest range and settled near Badposh beat house. Officials of both ranges are monitoring its movements.
The tusker had earlier damaged around 20 houses over 21 days in various villages under Bonai forest range.TNN
