Triple murder near Bengaluru: Drunken brawl over woman turns deadly | Bengaluru News

BENGALURU: Three people were killed, and one was injured in a drunken brawl among construction laborers at an under-construction building on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Saturday evening.
The laborers were celebrating a holiday for the Holi festival. The deceased have been identified as Ansu, 22, and Radhe Shyam, 23, while the identity of the third victim is yet to be confirmed.
The laborers, who hail from Bihar and work in various under-construction apartment buildings in Bengaluru, were drinking on the third floor of a building in Sarjapura when a fight broke out. Two to three individuals managed to escape after the incident. Four teams have been formed to track down the suspects.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the altercation began when one of the deceased was speaking to the sister of one of the accused. A case of murder has been registered at the Sarjapura police station in Bengaluru district, and further investigation is underway.
A senior police officer stated that the laborers involved were from the same district in Bihar. The suspects, who are currently on the run, had invited the victims to their building for a party. After consuming alcohol, an argument broke out over a woman, with inappropriate comments being made about her. This escalated into violence, with the victims being attacked using wooden logs and iron rods used for construction.
According to the police, one body was found near a passage, the second inside a room, and the third outside the building premises.
Superintendent of Police, Bengaluru District, CK Baba, visited the scene. Four special teams have been formed under his supervision. Baba stated, “We have got clues about the suspects, and they will be arrested at the earliest.” Scene of Crime Officers (SOCO) also visited the location to collect evidence.
