Keonjhar: A 14-year-old boy, a Class IX student, allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself from a tree in Pingu Patna village under Patna police limits in Keonjhar district, after his mother scolded him for not going to school Wednesday morning. OIC, Saharpada police outpost, Bhababi Shankar Dadi, said preliminary findings show the boy killed himself after his parents asked him to go to school. “The post-mortem report is awaited and probe is on,” he said. The boy was the younger of two siblings, while his sister studies in Class XII. His father is a farmer, and his mother is a housewife.
