Ara: A 24-year-old man, Raj Singh, a resident of Ishwarpura village under Karnamepur police station in Bhojpur district, was murdered by four miscreants, including his school friend, on Saturday evening.
“The marriage of Raj’s sister was being held at a lodge in our village. Raj had sent his sister and the rest of his family members to the marriage venue. After that, we were going to the wedding venue on a bike which was being driven by Raj. When our bike approached Karnamepur bus stand, four miscreants who were lurking there shot at Raj, who sustained a bullet injury in his stomach. Later, he succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in Ara,” the victim’s uncle, Narendra Singh, said.
The boy’s uncle, while accusing a school friend of Raj and other unknown accomplices, said, “Raj had enmity with a boy named Saket from his school days. However, I don’t know the reason behind the enmity since I don’t live here.”
“We are talking to the family members of the deceased in order to know about the reason behind the murder,” Karnamepur SHO Chandan Kumar said.
