Buxar: A 45-year-old woman was killed on the spot in a road accident on Tuesday when a speeding SUV hit her near Parmeshwar village on NH-319 under Navanagar police station in Buxar district.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Meena Devi, a resident of Parmeshwarpur village in Rohtas district. Police took the body into custody and sent it to a Buxar hospital for postmortem. An FIR was lodged at the Navanagar police station by Meena’s husband against the unidentified driver of the SUV.
SHO of Navanagar police station, Nandu Kumar, said, “The incident occurred when the woman was crossing the road. An unknown SUV hit her and she died on the spot due to the collision.”
