Berhampur: A 53-year-old demonstration assistant at the office of deputy director of horticulture in Kandhamal was found hanging in his official quarters at Phulbani on Saturday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Bijay Kumar Nayak, of Bhadrak. He was staying alone in Phulbani. Police have registered an unnatural death case and started investigation. However, his family alleged foul play as he had called them around 2 pm and transferred Rs 2,000 online to his account at 3:48 pm. After conducting a post-mortem, the body was handed over to his family members on Sunday, said KK Majhi, inspector in-charge of Phulbani police station.TNN
