TOI Happy Streets: Cuttack! Get ready for car-free Sunday fun | Bhubaneswar News

CUTTACK: The Times of India is set to transform Cuttack’s bustling streets into a vibrant playground this Sunday with its flagship wellness initiative, ‘Happy Streets’. For the first time in the millennium city, a stretch from Barabati Gate to Museum of Justice will turn into a vehicle-free zone, promising citizens a morning filled with fitness, fun, and festivities.
The event, scheduled for Sunday, will reclaim the streets from 6 am to 10 am, offering residents of the millenium city a unique opportunity to experience their city differently. The initiative aims to promote sustainable living and community engagement while encouraging physical activities in a safe, pollution-free environment.
Happy Streets is more than just an event; it’s a movement towards healthier urban living as it will bring together fitness, entertainment, and community spirit all in one place.
Participants can look forward to an action-packed morning featuring sports activities (basketball, golf, dart and target shooting), fitness zones (cycling tracks, running areas, and skipping stations), adventure corner (trampoline and taekwondo demonstrations) and entertainment (live band performances, DJ music, and magic shows).
The event is being sponsored by Khimji Jewellery with Manipal Hospitals, Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd, Paradip Port Authority, Gupta Distributors and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd as associate sponsors. It will be powered by Omfed and co-powered by Dion Imagination Built, while SOA University is the knowledge partner.
The event is free and open to all age groups. Participants are encouraged to bring their cycles, skates, and sporting equipment to make the most of this car-free zone.
Join us in transforming Cuttack’s streets into a celebration of active living and community bonding. Mark your calendars for a Sunday morning unlike any other!
