VILLUPURAM: The Kottakuppam all-women police have arrested a 36-year-old man on charges of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl near Vanur in Villupuram district.
The man, a daily wage earner, learned that the daughter of his neighbour was alone at home. He barged into the house of his neighbour and sexually assaulted the minor girl.
He threatened her not to reveal the incident to anyone, but the girl told it to her parents.Her father lodged a complaint with the Kottakuppam all-women police who booked the man under different sections of the Pocso Act and arrested him.
