‘Time management, focus, clarity of concepts key to success’ | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: Top scorers in Plus II examinations, whose results were declared on Wednesday, underscored the significance of time management, clarity on subjects and concepts, and focus as their mantra of success. While the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) did not release an official list of toppers, many students who appeared for the Plus II exams performed exceptionally well. This year, more than 2,200 students scored above 90% compared to 546 students last year.Kashis Naik of BJB Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar scored 557 out of 600 (92.9%) in the humanities stream. “Hard work, routine and balance helped me score good marks in the exams. I studied for six to seven hours regularly, apart from classes. I focused more on understanding concepts rather than memorising them.”Most of the top-scoring students said they avoided last-minute rote learning and relied on textbooks and self-prepared notes. “Solving question papers of previous years and practising sample papers helped me a lot in scoring good marks. Teachers were always a phone call away and helped in clearing doubts,” said Goutam Giri of Baripada, who scored 571 out of 600 (95.2%) in the science stream.Sonam Gadnayak of Angul, who scored 92.8%, said, “I scored 82% in Class X exams but improved my scores significantly in higher secondary examinations due to proper focus and time management. Self-study also played a crucial role in scoring good marks.”Students can check their individual results and download provisional marksheets from the official websites — chseodisha.nic.in and results.digilocker.gov.in. They can also check their results from the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal’s ‘e-space’.
