Thrilling Conclusion to the 3-Day Mata Shabri Cricket Tournament in Ara | – Times of India
Ara: The three-day ‘Mata Shabri cricket tournament‘ organised at the Veer Kunwar Singh stadium in Ara in Bhojpur district concluded on Sunday. The concluding day was attended by the state additional chief secretary (ACS) revenue and rural work department, Deepak Kumar Singh as the chief guest. On the final day of the tournament, The Royal Rangers Udwantnagar clinched the trophy by defeating the Paharpur Heroes by 17 runs. Altogether 20 teams, all from the Musahar community, participated in the tournament.
Speaking on the occasion Singh said, “Inclination for a healthy competition is a sign of development. This tournament organised by “Nayee Asha’, an NGO, has engendered a new enthusiasm among the Mahadalit children. Last year too, I had come here, however, I see more passion and zeal among the players this year which augurs well for tapping the hidden talent among the Mahadalit children.”
