Chhapra: Three alleged arms smugglers were arrested during night patrolling at Dighwara in Saran district on Monday, said police on Wednesday. The police have also seized two illegal arms, five live cartridges and two motorcycles from their possession.
Police said acting on a tip-off, they first arrested Ashik Kumar, a resident of village Babhangawan in Nayagaon.“The police recovered some photographs of illegal arms from his mobile phone. During interrogation, the accused disclosed the names of two more villagers — Monu Singh, alias Harsh, and Ritesh Singh — following which they too were arrested.
A case against them was registered on Tuesday. They also have cases against them recorded in Nayagaon police station,” said a police release.
