Kendrapada: The Jagatsinghpur police arrested three persons, including a couple, for allegedly uploading intimate videos of a 15-year-old girl on a pornographic website.
The matter came to light when the victim’s father was alerted by relatives about the videos on Sunday. According to police reports, the minor was initially kidnapped on Feb 16 by a 28-year-old man from a neighbouring village, though both returned last week.
Following the father’s FIR, police arrested the primary accused, who later revealed the involvement of two others – a married couple aged 27 and 24 – in filming and uploading the explicit content.
“We are investigating whether the accused exploited other minors in similar fashion for monetary gains,” said investigation officer Bibhuti Biswal.
The accused have been booked under multiple sections of the BNS Act, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
A local court has denied bail to all three accused and remanded them to judicial custody. Investigation is ongoing, police said.
