Thieves uproot ATM, steal Rs 10 lakh | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: Unidentified thieves uprooted an unguarded ATM belonging to a nationalised bank in Samantarapur locality here and made off with approximately Rs 10 lakh cash in the early hours of Friday. They later abandoned the machine near a canal.
According to police officials, the robbers transported the ATM using a stolen three-wheeler to a secluded location where they accessed the cash using a gas cutter. Local residents discovered the missing ATM in the morning and alerted police.
Lingaraj police officials are examining CCTV footage from the ATM, which captured images of two suspects. “We have formed a special team to identify the robbers and solve the case,” said DCP Pinak Mishra.
