Berhampur: Two rival groups allegedly hurled bombs in Phulta village near Berhampur late Friday night, causing panic. The incident occurred under Gosaninuagaon police limits, though no one was injured.
SP (Berhampur) Saravana Vivek M said bomb remnants were recovered from the spot. “Two platoons of police forces have been deployed as a preventive step. An investigation is underway to identify those involved in the incident,” he said.
Police teams rushed to the village soon after the clash and brought the situation under control. A search operation is on to trace those involved. Authorities are closely monitoring the area to prevent further violence. Residents have been urged to stay calm and cooperate with the police.
