Telangana not rising, it’s falling, says KTR | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao questioned why there was a shortfall of 70,000 crore in the 2024-25 state budget estimations when the state was supposedly on the rise. He alleged that this was due to the gross financial mismanagement of the ruling Congress govt.
“This is not Telangana rising. Telangana is falling. Telangana’s reputation is now at stake due to the comments and campaign by CM Revanth Reddy and his negative politics and comments like ‘Telangana cancer’,” KTR said during a chat with the media on the assembly premises on Monday.
“The govt made tall claims about investments and growth. If that was correct, the govt should provide details on how many investments came and in which sectors. The govt ruined the agriculture sector in the past 15 months,” KTR said.
“The CM accepted his failure and became an approver in the financial mismanagement and negative growth. The 70,000 crore shortfall, which he revealed, occurred at a time when there were no major reasons such as Covid-19 or any other major disaster, except his ruling,” the BRS working president said.
He stated that the party did not have any objections to the CM’s frequent Delhi tours but asked what the outcome of his tours was. He questioned why Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was not coming to Hyderabad when students were holding dharnas against the takeover of their land, he said.
KTR later visited two journalists who were lodged in Chanchalguda jail and slammed the govt for arresting them.
