Hyderabad: Parivahan Sarathi services were launched by transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar at the Secunderabad RTO office at Trimulgherry. This will enable citizens to access their vehicle and driving licence information and avail transport services from anywhere in the country.
The Telangana govt, like other states, has decided to implement the ‘Sarathi’ and ‘Vahan’ digital services applications developed by NIC under the guidance of the Union ministry of road transport and highways. It will also help in availing driving licence related services like renewal, change of address and addition of a new vehicle category from any state in the country through a single visit to the RTO office.

This will facilitate instant verification between states and by other official agencies. This approach will not only provide easy access to documents for licence holders anytime and anywhere, but will also reduce the chances of document forgery and increase transparency and efficiency in the verification process.
