HANUMAKONDA: A doctor was attacked by three unknown persons late on Thursday night between the Bhattupally-Warangal road under the Mills Colony Police Station limits. The doctor was identified as G Sidharth Reddy, a resident of Hunter Road in Hanumakonda.
The doctor was travelling in his car towards Bhattupally when the three unknown persons attacked him with iron rods and severely injured him.
The accused quickly fled the spot soon after committing the brutal attack.
Commuters found the victim in a pool of blood on the road and immediately alerted the Mills Colony Police, who rushed to the spot.
Police immediately shifted him to MGM Hospital, Warangal for treatment.
After being alerted about the incident, victim’s family members rushed to the hospital and later shifted him to a private hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment.
Speaking to the media, Mills Colony police inspector J Venkata Ratnam said, “We are investigating the incident and tracing the culprits. We are collecting CCTV footage from the surrounding area and questioning the locals about the incident. Due to the night hours, nobody has more details about the incident.”
