HYDERABAD: A gynaecologist at the Government Area Hospital in Zaheerabad was removed from service by district officials, while two other doctors from primary health centres were issued show cause notices.
During a meeting with health officials on Wednesday, Sangareddy District Collector Valluri Kranthi stated that an inquiry revealed Dr. Anjum Naaz, a gynaecologist at the Government Area Hospital in Zaheerabad, had been diverting pregnant women from the hospital to private facilities.
Following this, District Medical and Health Officer O. Gayatri Devi was directed to issue removal orders for Dr. Naaz and serve show cause notices to two doctors from the Daulatabad and Mallamma primary health centres for negligence in their duties.
