Tejashwi Yadav Claims Bypolls Don’t Predict 2025 Bihar Elections Outcome | – Times of India

Begusarai: Leader of opposition in the state assembly, Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, on Friday said the results of the recently concluded bypolls for four seats in Bihar should not be seen as an indicator of the outcome of the 2025 state elections. “Bypolls have been held in the past. However, they were never considered a precursor to future elections,” he told reporters here.
Tejashwi also criticised chief minister Nitish Kumar for his proposed ‘Mahila Samvad Yatra’ in the state. “What kind of yatra is this meant to be? How could he solve the problems of people from two or three districts in just an hour?,” he alleged.
Tejaswi also promised that 200 units of free power would be provided to the people, in addition to Rs 1,500 per month for the elderly, specially-abled and women if the opposition alliance comes to power in the state.
Tejashwi claimed that the BJP-led govt at the Centre had taken control of every constitutional institution in the state.
He criticised Union minister Giriraj Singh for making “unconstitutional statements”. “Even the people belonging to his own constituency do not know what department of the govt he heads as a minister,” Tejashwi said.
