Teachers’ union and Yuva Sena protest at MU | Mumbai News – The Times of India

Mumbai: Members of Bombay University Colleges and Teachers’ Union and Yuva Sena on Tuesday protested outside Mumbai University’s Fort campus against a host of issues that ranged from the “undemocratic manner in which the senate meeting was held” to the “unplanned manner in which National Education Policy was rolled out” to “university sub-centres lacking in facilities” and the PhD department working at a snail’s pace.
Senate members said police refused to let them protest outside the MU gate and shifted them to Azad Maidan. They claimed the senate meeting was conducted in “a highly undemocratic manner in violation of several laws and…representatives were deprived of their democratic right to raise issues…”. tnn
