Kendrapada: Police booked a teacher of a govt high school in Jajpur district on Tuesday for allegedly molesting a class X girl student in a bus while returning from a picnic. Cops are looking for the accused.
The incident came to light when the girl refused to go to school, and her parents inquired about the reason. She later opened up and told that a teacher, molested her on the night of Jan 18.
Upon learning about the incident, the girl’s mother filed an FIR at the police station on Monday. The accused teacher touched her inappropriately and molested her in the bus. The accused also threatened her with death if she told anyone about this incident, police sources said. “We are conducting raids to arrest the teacher,” said Sarat Chandra Patra, the investigating officer.
